Keeping It as Vanilla as Possible

Today was spent traveling to the Forbidden City and through many Buddist temples, the most interesting of which had the tallest Buddha statues I had ever seen! It was great. Later we saw the Peking Opera, which was all kinds of fabulous. In fact, the experience was well beyond verbal description. We had a very pleasant lunch at the Bamboo Garden hotel. Though we scaled no Great Walls today I feel just as tired as I did yesterday. Go Beijing...We also had vanilla ice cream.
